EKO-3

Applications:

The energy-saving system ECO-3 design is based on the frequency inverters REN2 and is designed for automatic optimization of combustion, using information from process sensors to control the operation of the forced-draft devices.

Principles of operation:

Regulating the fan and exhaust rotation speeds ensures additional energy savings of 40-65%, compared to traditional methods of guide vanes.

Based on information from the sensors, levels of oxygen and carbon monoxide that are diluted in the boiler and the gas pressure supplied for combustion, can be regulated for optimum performance:

         - optimum ratio of "fuel / air," depending on the level of O2 and CO in the exhaust gases;

         - automatic stabilization of the vacuum in the furnace.

Functinality:

-  Provides optimal ventilation of the boiler by excluding the effect of destabilizing factors in ignition and combustion mode.

- Continuous monitoring of the current boiler status and configuration parameters as well as historical data of the core indicators, early detection and prior warning of crash situation to the support staff.

- Telecommunication of the boiler and ECO-3 status information via GPRS to the control room or to a remote server.

Features:

- Specifications for ECO-3 system were approved in 1998.

- ECO-3 has been operated on boilers TVG, KVG, KVGM, PTVM-30, DKVR, DE since 1996.

- ECO-3’s effectiveness, technical and economic characteristics are verified by five organizations that have successfully employed the system for at least 3 years.

- ECO-3 is recommended for use by the State Center for Testing and Introduction of Fuel Equipment.

- ECO-3 is approved and recommended for use by Power System Section of the Scientific and Technical Council of Ministry for Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine.
